Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also directed films like Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Her childhood was lived at Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. Her parents were a loving mom who loved watching movies. Paula was active in the co-curricular activities of her school and was particularly drawn to dramatics. She loved to play act alongside her peers and was a participant in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many opportunities to act during her high school years and she decided to pursue acting to pursue a career. She was a student at the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. The program gave her a three month project to create documentaries for PBS. Following the successful completion of the assignment, she began working as an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. After that, she started producing documentaries. Although she was awed by the work, she wanted to become an actor. Her acting career began with a minor role alongside Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in numerous film and television shows.
